After having made the model and the sculpture of the ship “Nao Victoria” in 2005, Miguel Jerónimo Villalba was entrusted to direct the construction of the ship “Nao Victoria” in life-size. Said scale ship was the first ship to go around the world. For this reason, there was not only provincial but also national interest in this enterprise. The scale reproduction, setting and thematic sculpture was made in San Julian port, province of Santa Cruz. Nowadays, the ship functions as a thematic museum. The replica is a high quality artistic model for museums.

In the interior of the ship, the following settings were made: trunks, cannons, kitchen, red cabbage, lamps, barrels, drawers, bales, earthenware jars, vessels, barrels, and other elements that compose the shift and depicted the thematic of life on board. More than 25 crewmembers, like Magellan, Pigaffeta, the priest, sailors, depict this historical trip. Sculptures, replicas of objects of daily use, artillery and navigation instruments, and also hyperrealistic figures of some of the characters of the Magellan’s Armada, have all been incorporated. 

Nao Victoria is a thematic model made in life-size. It recreates all its aspects and intends, by creating a solid story line, to offer visitors an intense experience when listening to the fabulous sequence of events occurred in the mythical Bahia de San Julian.
