| In 2005, Miguel Jerónimo Villalba was entrusted to make a scale model (1: 12), of the historical ship "Nao Victoria", commanded by Magellan, and known as the first ship that traveled around the world. Said model was the beginning of the project aimed at the reproduction in life-size of the ship Nao Victoria in San Julian Port – Santa Cruz province. Original compartments and plans were used, making an exact representation of the ship commanded by Magellan.
Within the ship, the different areas of the ship “Nao Victoria” are represented:
- Warehouses (wineries), room of the captain, deck, winch of traction of anchor and maneuver, rudder with lever, captain’s cabin with navigation elements, watches, compasses, maps, jewel cases, bed.
- Deck: 4 cannons, kitchen, 6 red cabbages, prow lanterns, embroider board.
- Scale design of 15 characters of the tripulation (Magullan, Pigafetta, the doctor, the priest, Indians, sailors, among others).
- Others: barrels, drawers, bales, earth ware jars, vessels, trunks, casks. The model has a lighting system of 60 lanterns distributed around the ship.
- All the areas of the ship can be observed in detail, as well as the representation of the characters who traveled in that historical journey.
- The model has a mechanism of opening of the hull so that its interior can be appreciated.
- The quality and artistic level of the model shows not only the artistic ability of the creator but also the possibility of creating any kind of models.
- The work has been on exhibition in the Casa Rosada, in The Casa of Santa Cruz (Buenos Aires), San Julian Port and now it is in the airport of Caliphate, where more than 2000 people can see it every day.
