| In 1966, the Church Santa Maria de los Ángeles, entrusted the sculptor Miguel Ángel Villalba, the creation of the sculpture of Father Pío in tribute to his beatification. Graphic investigations of the characteristics of this Saint were carried out and then, it was modelled in mud. Once the parish priest approved the sculpture in mud, the mould was made as well as the copy in resine and glass fiber. Once the copy was finished, it was polychromed. |

Presentation and inauguration of the work in the Church Santa Maria de los Ángeles. The work is currently there. Besides, sculptures of Father Pio in different sizes and for different churches of the world were made. Creation of the work in clay. Documentation was used, as well as artistic taste to determine the most important features of the Saint.

| In 1986, Miguel Ángel Villalba was hired to make, in the City of Paso de los Libres - Corrientes, the “Monument for the peace and comradeship of the towns” due to the International Day for the Peace, and declared by the United Nations the same year. The work was made in the territory where one of the battles of the War of the Triple Alliance took place. It was inaugurated in October 24th, 1986. the monuments are two hands in position of prayer: “prayer hands.” It is 3m high. The work made by the sculptor is held by four ascending vertical columns of 9m high. Production and creation of the sculpture: Miguel Ángel Villalba. |
